Uncanny match of song and image. Watched and watched and listened. Over the Ocean. Over so many things, but there's beauty in detachment I am told. Great American Music Hall, 1997, San Francisco, it was so quiet you could hear people walking on the sidewalk outside the venue when they played this song, only time I ever wept at a show.
It's one of my favorites too. It has a power over me. I have no idea what it means. They did it in a church once, do you have that recording? "Favorite." It's outside the favorite spectrum, it's beyond the gross assessments of like/unlike. When it comes on I just stop and look out the window and think about how fragile the good kind of sadness is.

Thank you ronnie. This is one of my favorite songs. Weep-worthy.
